Overview:

The IPAF Operator 3a course provides accredited training for the safe use of mobile vertical mobile elevating work platforms. Delegates learn to operate self-propelled scissor lifts and similar machines that travel on level surfaces while the platform remains vertical. The qualification addresses daily checks, ground conditions, overhead hazards and controlled movement in confined or open areas. It meets current UK expectations for powered access competence in construction, maintenance and industrial settings.

What you will achieve as a result:

Successful delegates receive an IPAF PAL Card valid for five years. The card shows the 3a category and can be renewed through an IPAF refresher course before expiry. Employers may also record the qualification on internal competence matrices.
