Overview:
The IPAF Operator 3a & 3b & 1b course provides the full training and assessment required to operate mobile vertical platforms, mobile booms and static booms safely. Delegates learn to select the correct machine for the task, carry out thorough pre-use checks and operate equipment in line with current UK regulations and manufacturer guidance. The programme emphasises real-world risk management including ground assessment, overhead obstructions, weather effects and safe working at height across varied site environments.

What you will achieve as a result:
Successful delegates receive an IPAF PAL (Powered Access Licence) card endorsed with categories 1b, 3a and 3b plus a certificate of training. The card is valid for five years. Operators must complete a refresher course before expiry to maintain the qualification.
