Who Should Attend?

Personnel who, as an integral part of their operational responsibilities, are required to perform or oversee any projects that involve working at height. Ensuring the safety and well-being of these individuals while working in such environments is of paramount importance to guarantee compliance with relevant regulations and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.

Joining Instructions

Delegates must arrive at the centre at least 15 minutes before the advertised start time. Delegates who have not registered at the designated centre by 9am or 1pm for afternoon courses, must contact us on 01923 634177 to advise on estimated time of arrival. Delegates failing to arrive on time may not be able to join the course and a full charge will be made. A light lunch & refreshments will be provided for full day courses. If you have any dietary requirements please advise us at least 48hrs in advance of the courses. Lunch is not available for those attending a ½ day course. Course certification will be issued on receipt of payment & within 5 - 7 working days from completion of the course (or from payment received) Excludes externally accredited courses. Delegates should wear comfortable clothing. Shorts will not be permitted on any of the practical courses. Climbing & IPAF courses are conducted outside and therefore suitable waterproof items for inclement weather should be worn. If attending a First Aid Course, comfortable clothing should be worn for the practical sessions i.e loose clothing, long trousers & flat shoes. First Aid Courses: Delegates should bring with them a photo ID as identification. Delegates will be observed & assessed on a number of practical exercises. Failure to partake in any aspect of the assessment sessions will result in failure of the course. Delegates must be free from any condition that will affect their participation in the course; being able to work in floor based positions and their capability to carry out the duties of a first aider. The company reserves the right to exclude any delegate on grounds of fitness / health, or general unsafe attitude towards health & safety. Delegates will be asked to self certify that they are medically fit before the practical element can be completed. You should be free from medical conditions that are contraindication for working at heights/confined space. If any delegate suffers from any of the above mentioned medical conditions they will not be allowed to climb unless a Doctor's note is provided stating the delegates fitness to climb. Delegates should be physically able to perform the task expected in terms of strength, agility and co-ordination. They should also be able to withstand the stress of the working environment such as heat, cold and inclement weather. It is recommended that all personnel employed to climb, use rope access techniques or enter confined spaces should be medically fit to perform the work they are likely to undertake, and that a suitable medical should be carried out to confirm this. Delegates who weigh over 136Kg (21.5st) are prohibited from participating in practical elements of the climbing courses. The company reserves the right to weigh delegates before allowing participation in the practical elements of the course. Failure to notify the company that the candidate weighs over 136kg will result in the delegate being prohibited from completing the course and 100% of the course cost will be charged.
