Course Information

This course is designed to provide workers with the knowledge and skills which enables them to rescue workers from Height within their working environment. Aimed at those working at height, this course focuses on workmate rescue from a range of typical scenarios typically found in the workplace. During training those attending are taught to assess the situation, and consider all the available options before attempting to carry out a rescue using a suitable rescue device.

If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

The Rescue at Height Training course covers essential topics such as legislation, equipment functions, and practical rescue scenarios. Participants will gain an understanding of the dos and donts of working at heights, as well as limitations and compatibility of equipment. They will also learn about equipment assembly, ratios, and maintenance.

The practical portion of the course will cover various rescue scenarios, including rescue from a ladder and remote rescue techniques. Participants will also learn how to perform over the edge rescues and handle prolonged harness suspension. The course will also cover suspension syncope and how to safely recover a casualty.

In addition, the course will cover evacuation and descent techniques, ensuring that participants are equipped with the necessary skills to safely bring themselves and others down from heights. A practical assessment will be conducted to evaluate the participants understanding and application of the course material. By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills to effectively handle rescue situations at height.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Kendal! Getting here is straightforward. If youre coming from the M6, head south and take the M65 exit towards Burnley/Blackburn. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the M6 ramp towards M55/Lancaster. Stay right on the M6 and exit at junction 36 towards Barrow/Kendal. Merge onto the A590, then continue straight onto the A591. Take the A6 ramp towards South Kendal, and at the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Milnthorpe Rd/A6. Turn right onto Sandes Ave, then left onto Mint Bridge Rd. Youll soon arrive at The Training Centre. Safe travels!
