Course Information

The PASMA Low Level Access Course is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates, and will cover the low level access products with platform heights of 2.5m or below, such as Podium Steps, Folding Room Scaffolds and wide area low level access towers, the course incorporates theory and practical instruction sessions and assessments. This course will instruct and assess each candidate in the competence to assemble, dismantle, use, move and inspect low level prefabricated access units.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone in an organisation, who assembles, alters, dismantles, moves, inspects and most importantly USES low level access equipment such as podiums, folding room scaffolds and wide area platforms. This not only includes construction sites but all workplaces, such as schools, offices and factories both internally and externally.

Joining Instructions

Specific PASMA Low Level Access Tower joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Contact numbers and ways to get in touch will be provided.

Course Agenda

The course will also cover the importance of risk assessments and how to carry them out effectively. This will involve identifying potential hazards, evaluating the level of risk, and implementing control measures to minimize or eliminate these risks. Participants will learn how to create a safe working plan and communicate it to others on the worksite.

The course will also touch upon the legal responsibilities of employers and employees when it comes to working at heights. This includes the duty to provide proper training and equipment, as well as the responsibility to follow safety protocols and report any incidents or near misses. Participants will gain a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions to deepen their understanding of the topics covered. They will also receive a comprehensive course manual for future reference. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a PASMA Low Level Access Tower training certificate, which is valid for five years. This will demonstrate their competence and commitment to safe working practices.

Finally, the course will end with a review and assessment to ensure that participants have fully grasped the concepts and skills taught. This will also provide an opportunity for participants to give feedback on the course and suggest any improvements. The overall aim of the course is to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely and confidently work at low level heights.

Training Venue

Welcome to the Derby Training Centre! Our venue is conveniently located in Derby with easy access from the A38. We have 12 designated off-road parking spaces available on a first come, first served basis, as well as free on-road parking. At the Training Centre, we provide refreshments for our attendees, although lunch is not included. Our friendly staff will make sure you have everything you need to stay energized and focused during your training. To get to the Training Centre from Derby, simply head south on Kingsway/A38 towards Kingsway Roundabout. Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout and continue on Kingsway/A38. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Ashbourne Rd/A52. Follow A52 and turn right onto Agard St/A52, then left onto Ford St/A601. Continue on A601 and turn left onto Mansfield Rd. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Mansfield Rd. Continue straight onto Alfreton Rd and turn right. The training centre will be on your right. Accreditation
