Course Agenda

First Aid Priorities, Managing Incidents, Basic Life Support-Adult - Child & Baby, Casualty Examination, Choking, Unconsciousness, Anaphylaxis, Fractures, Control of Bleeding & Shock, Asthma, Eye & Ear Injuries, Burns and Scalds, First Aid Kits, Childhood Illnesses including Meningitis & Febrile Convulsions, Regulations, Recording and Reporting.

Day 1 The first day of the Paediatric First Aid 2 Day training course will cover the essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively respond to first aid situations involving children and infants. This includes understanding first aid priorities, managing incidents, and providing basic life support for adults, children, and babies. We will also cover how to conduct a thorough casualty examination and handle common emergencies such as choking, unconsciousness, and anaphylaxis.

Day 2 On the second day, we will focus on more specific first aid scenarios involving children. This includes learning how to handle fractures, control bleeding and shock, and provide first aid for asthma, eye and ear injuries, and burns and scalds. We will also cover the importance of having a well-stocked first aid kit and how to properly use it. Additionally, we will discuss common childhood illnesses such as meningitis and febrile convulsions and how to respond to them.

Regulations and Reporting The final part of the Paediatric First Aid 2 Day training course will cover important regulations and guidelines related to first aid for children, including legal requirements and best practices for recording and reporting incidents. This will ensure that you are equipped with the necessary knowledge to provide effective and compliant first aid care for children in any situation..

Welcome to The Training Centre in Harrow! Getting here is straightforward. If youre coming from the A40, head southwest towards Newton Court Lane. At the Dixton Roundabout, take the second exit onto the A40, then continue straight onto the A449, keeping left. At Coldra Roundabout, take the second exit onto the M4 ramp towards London. Merge onto the M4 and stay on it until junction 3, where youll take the A312 exit. Follow The Parkway/A312, turn right onto Eastcote Lane, and at the roundabout, take the second exit onto Roxeth Green Avenue. Accreditation
