The NEBOSH Certificate covers the key legal requirements for health and safety in the UK and the identification and control of workplace hazards. No previous health and safety knowledge is required, however previous experience or completion of the IOSH Managing Safely course will be advantageous.

The NEBOSH National General Certificate provides a broad understanding of key health and safety issues, covering the legal requirements for health and safety in the UK and the identification and control of workplace hazards.The course is split into 3 units which are assessed individually - 2 taught units and a work-based assignment.If you're looking to study this course outside of the UK then we recommend taking a look at the NEBOSH International General Certificate course on our international courses website.Course summary. Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:Assist in the planning, implementation and review of an organisations health & safety policy. Understand the requirements of HSE legislation, codes of practice and the prosecution process.Undertake risk assessments and recommend suitable action.Investigate accidents and prepare reports in line with HSE legislation.Identify common hazar.

Each day starts at 8.45am and runs to around 4.30-4.45pm

There are 2 x 2 hour exams for NGC1 and GC2 consisting of 10 short answer questions and 1 long answer; GC3 is assessed with a 2-hour practical application carried out in the workplace.. Yes. The pass mark for each written exam is 45 and for the practical it is 60. You only need to resit any exams that you fail until you have passed all 3.
