Course Information

To provide delegates with an awareness of the legal implications, common hazards and precautions, together with the correct driving, operation, pre-use inspection, elevating, lowering and emergency procedures for these commonly used MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms).

Anyone in an organisation that uses, supervises or manages the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS) and needs to be made aware of the correct selection, inspection and use of safety harnesses to prevent falls.

If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

Legislation and regulations related to working at heights including CE markings and EN standards will be covered in this course. The hierarchy of measures for working at height and the use of MEWPs and harnesses will also be discussed.

Participants will learn about the different types of harnesses and lanyards and how to choose the appropriate ones for different situations. Pre-use checks and correct usage of harnesses will be emphasized to ensure safety and compliance.

The course will include an IPAF harness statement and both theory and practical assessments to evaluate knowledge and skills. By the end of the course, participants will have a thorough understanding of safety harness awareness and be able to apply it in their work.

Welcome to the Swansea Training Centre! Our venue is conveniently located in the town of Swansea, with a postcode of SA54DJ. We offer free visitor parking at the rear of the building, making it easy for you to attend your training without worrying about finding a parking spot.We want to make sure you are comfortable during your training, so we provide tea and coffee for refreshments. Just let us know if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate them.Getting to the Training Centre is easy. If you are coming from the M4 motorway, simply take exit 47 toward Swansea West. From there, merge onto A483 and continue straight onto Fabian Way/A483. Follow the road onto Oystermouth Rd/A4067, then turn left onto Mansel St. From there, turn right onto Princess Way and continue onto The Kingsway. Finally, turn left onto Dillwyn St, then right onto Dyfatty St, and left onto Carmarthen Rd/A483.
