A mix of theory and practical training, this course is designed to enable operators to manoeuvre and position the machine safely and proficiently. It can be undertaken on Push Around Verticals (PAVs).

If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

During an IPAF Push Around Vertical PAV Training course, participants will learn the safe operation of a PAV and its limitations. This includes pre-use checks such as inspection and function tests, as well as emergency lowering procedures. The importance of planning the route before operating the PAV will also be emphasized.

An introduction to the PAV will cover the major components and their functions. Participants will learn how to correctly start and stop the PAV, following proper procedures. They will also gain practical experience in travelling the route and manoeuvring the PAV. This includes setting up the PAV for work and basic operational practice.

To ensure competency, an achievement test will be conducted at the end of the course. This will assess participants understanding of the course material and their ability to safely operate the PAV. The course may also cover additional topics such as fall protection and rescue procedures. Participants will leave the course with the necessary knowledge and skills to operate a PAV safely and effectively.

Accreditation

Successful candidates who attend and pass the IPAF Push Around Vertical Training PAV course will receive a PAL photo ID card, which provides instant recognition of identity and accredited categories. This card is valid for 5 years and can be renewed through reassessment.

For delegates who already hold a IPAF PAL card, their log book will be endorsed with the PAV qualification upon successful completion of the course. This adds to their existing qualifications and allows them to expand their skills in the Working At Heights family of training courses.
