Joining Instructions

This course is aimed at personnel who are or will be responsible for using MEWPs (Trailer Mounted Booms, Scissorlifts, Cherry Pickers etc) in the work place. There are no prerequisite required for this course although a working knowledge of MEWPs is an advantage. Our IPAF Training Courses requires each candidate to provide the following PPE: * Safety Helmet with Chin Strap * Gloves * Hi-Vis Vest * Full Body Safety Harness with Short/Adjustable Restraint Lanyard * Safety Footwear

Course Agenda

The course then moves onto discussing the relevant legislation and regulations related to MEWPs, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations. This section also covers the importance of risk assessments and the role of the operator in maintaining a safe working environment.

The next part of the agenda focuses on the safe use of MEWPs in different scenarios, such as working on uneven ground or near overhead obstructions. Learners will also be taught how to properly position and maneuver the equipment to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.

Welcome to the Tonbridge Training Centre! Were excited to have you join us for your course. Our venue is conveniently located in Tonbridge, with a postcode of TN91SS. Please make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before your course start time for registration and induction. We recommend arriving early as parking spaces are limited. If our carpark is full, there is a nearby Pay and Display option. Well do our best to accommodate as many cars as possible, but please note that large vans may not be able to park on site. Dont worry, weve got you covered with tea and coffee for refreshments. If youre coming by road, weve got directions from the M20, M25, and A21.
