The IPAF Operator: 3a & 3b course aims to provide relevant and substantive training to anyone working in or coming in contact with during the normal course of their occupation

Joining Instructions

delegate to bring PPE: Hard hat, high vis, safety boots, safety harness, gloves and eye protection., , , It is a prompt 8am start and we ask delegates to arrive at 7:45am for registration., , , Please download the ePAL app and register your details - you will now be able to receive your PAL card via this app as well as your log book and Operator Safety Guide. Should you require a physical copy of your card and certificate, there will be a charge of website per card and certificate., , , Please bring own full body harness with short restraint lanyard and eye protection, , , (COVID-19 prevention measure), , , Single use gloves will be provided (COVID-19 prevention measure), , , Please bring own lunch (COVID-19 prevention measure), , , No mobile phones or any other recording devices are permitted on the course, , Shorts are not permitted.

**Course Agenda Effective Communication Skills Training**1. Introduction to Communication Understanding the importance of effective communication in personal and professional settings. Overview of course objectives and participant expectations.

2. Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication Exploring the elements of verbal communication, including tone and clarity, alongside non-verbal cues such as body language and facial expressions.

3. Active Listening Techniques Learning the principles of active listening, including techniques to enhance understanding and engagement during conversations, fostering better relationships.

4. Practical Application and Role-Playing Engaging in interactive exercises and role-playing scenarios to practice communication skills in real-life situations, followed by group feedback and discussion..

Welcome to The Training Centre in Glasgow! Getting here is straightforward. If youre coming from the M74 in Motherwell, head northwest and take the A725 exit towards Bellshill and Edinburgh. At the roundabout, take the 5th exit onto the A725 ramp. Merge onto the Bellshill Bypass and keep left at the interchange for Bellziehill Junction. Follow the signs for the A721 towards Bellshill and Uddingston. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Old Edinburgh Road. A quick right onto Melford Road, then another right, and youll find The Training Centre on your left. We look forward to welcoming you!
