Course Agenda

The IPAF Operator 3a & 3b & 1b training course is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate mobile elevating work platforms MEWPs in the workplace. The course covers three categories of MEWPs scissor lifts 3a, self-propelled booms 3b, and trailer-mounted booms 1b.

The course begins with an overview of the legal requirements and responsibilities for operating MEWPs, including relevant health and safety regulations. Participants will also learn about the different types of MEWPs and their various uses, as well as the potential hazards and risks associated with operating them. This will be followed by a thorough explanation of the pre-use checks and maintenance procedures that must be carried out before operating a MEWP.
