Course Information
The IPAF MEWPs for Managers Course delivers a minimum of 6 hours of classroom based instruction. The course aims to instruct a supervisor/manager on what is required to prepare for and safely co-ordinate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) within their control. Who Should Attend?
Anyone who supervises or plans working at height. The course consists of classroom based tutorials, demonstrations, practical and test.

Delivery Method: Classroom Duration: Full Day, usually 8:30am to 4:00pm. Note: No P.P.E required.
Course Agenda
Machine classification, types of machines, and regulations will be covered in the first part of the IPAF MEWPS for Managers training course. This will provide participants with a solid understanding of the different types of mobile elevating work platforms MEWPs and the regulations surrounding their use.
The course will then move on to operator training, in accordance with BS ISO 188782004 and BS 84602005. This will ensure that managers have a thorough understanding of the safe use of MEWPs and are able to effectively train their operators.
Participants will also have the opportunity to gain a practical view of the machines, although this is optional. This will allow them to get hands-on experience with the equipment and better understand its capabilities and limitations. Delivery of machines will also be discussed, ensuring that managers understand how to properly transport and set up MEWPs.
The course will conclude with a theory test to assess participants knowledge and a course evaluation to gather feedback and ensure the course is meeting the needs of the attendees. By the end of the IPAF MEWPS for Managers training course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of machine classification, regulations, operator training, and practical use of MEWPs, making them well-equipped to manage their teams use of these machines.

To ensure a smooth start, please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your course induction and registrationaim for 815am if your course begins at 830am. Parking is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is advisable. If the car park is full, you can use the nearby Pay and Display in Sovereign Way at your own expense. If youre travelling by train, the centre is just a short walk from Tonbridge mainline station.
