Who Should Attend?

Anyone in an organisation that uses, supervises or manages the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS) and needs to be made aware of the correct selection, inspection and use of safety harnesses to prevent falls.

Course Agenda

Legislation and regulations related to working at heights including CE markings and EN standards will be covered in this course. The hierarchy of measures for working at height and the use of MEWPs and harnesses will also be discussed.

Participants will learn about the different types of harnesses and lanyards and how to choose the appropriate ones for different situations. Pre-use checks and correct usage of harnesses will be emphasized to ensure safety and compliance.

The course will include an IPAF harness statement and both theory and practical assessments to evaluate knowledge and skills. By the end of the course, participants will have a thorough understanding of safety harness awareness and be able to apply it in their work.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Salford! Getting here is a breeze. If youre coming from the M602, simply head west and take the M60 exit towards Manchester Airport. Merge onto the M602 at junction 12, then continue to junction 2 and take the A576. Keep an eye out for signs to Ladywell Roundabout, where youll turn left onto Eccles New Road and then right onto Mode Wheel Road. The Training Centre will be on your left. Dont worry about refreshments weve got you covered with tea and coffee to keep you energised throughout your training!
