Course Information

Ladder & Steps : To ensure all delegates are competent to: Assess and determine when it's appropriate to use a ladder or stepladder Correctly locate and safely use ladders & stepladders They will also have an understanding of: What they need to know about the law and standards relating to ladders & stepladders Hazards in the use of ladders & stepladders Storage & handling of ladders & stepladders Safe Safe Use and Inspection of a Safety Harness : This course instructs a user to select, inspect and use a harness and associated equipment safely when using a MEWP or when working at height.

Our Ladder Safety & Safety Harness Awareness courses have been designed to meet all your requirements and ensure that on completion you and your delegates are fully competent in all aspects of the two separate courses, certified and compliant with the latest in legislative requirements. Both courses are suitable for anyone who needs to use ladders or a safety harness as part of their day to day duties.

Joining Instructions

Specific IPAF Harness Awareness User & Inspection Combined joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Contact numbers and ways to get in touch will be provided.

Course Agenda

Select appropriate work at height equipment for a task, Assess and determine when it is appropriate to use ladders and stepladders, Correctly locate and safely use ladders and stepladders, Inspect ladders and stepladders for damage, Legislation and regulations affecting work at height, Summarise the work at height regulations and associated legislation and be fully aware of their legal responsibilities, Select the correct work equipment and restraint systems to help prevent falls from height thus reducing risk to themselves and others, Carry out inspections of equipment to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose, Confidently select and don a harness correctly..

Training Venue

Welcome to The Training Centre in Milton Keynes! Getting here is straightforward, but we recommend arriving early, especially if youre driving. Parking right outside is limited, and larger vehicles like vans or lorries wont find space nearby. However, you can find free parking on Lyon Road, though it tends to fill up quickly.To reach us, start from the A5 Milton Keynes and head west on Rampart Way. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the M54 ramp. Merge onto the M6, then take the M1 exit. At junction 14, follow the A509 exit, and at Broughton Interchange, take the 3rd exit onto A509. Finally, at Northfield Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto H6 Childs Way/A4146, and follow the road until you arrive at The Training Centre. We look forward to welcoming you! Refreshments, including hot and cold drinks, will be provided.. Hot and cold drinks provided.

Accreditation

Successful candidates who attend and pass the Safety Harness Awareness and Safe use of Ladder and Steps Joint Course training course will receive a 3 year accreditation by XYZ Training Group Ltd. This accreditation is recognized and trusted by many of the UKs largest construction groups.

In addition to the accreditation, candidates will also receive an award or certificate upon completion of the course. This certificate serves as proof of their knowledge and understanding of safety harness awareness and safe use of ladders and steps.

Furthermore, candidates will have the option to request a photo ID card from XYZ Training Group Ltd. This ID card serves as an additional form of identification and verification of their completion of the course. It can also be used to showcase their skills and knowledge to potential employers.

Combining two courses on the same day saves you both time and money. We select commonly asked for half day courses and combine them into a full days training. This way you get two courses for little or no extra cost. You can even have 2 x the same course on the same day if you have more delegates that can fit onto a single course.
We can come to you at a date and time of your convenience and deliver our combined courses for a price that is unbeatable. Our price includes all certification and our trainer cost. And if this combination is not suitable, then select your own two half day courses and we will be more than happy to accommodate you.

The price per person is always comparible if not better than joining one of our open course events and you will benefit from the added convenience of not only selecting the date and venue, but we'll also tailor certain elements of the training to your specific application..

In addition to that, if your delegate numbers are low and you don't have an urgent need to have the training in the next few weeks, then talk to us about setting up an open event near to you on a date of your choosing.
