Applicable legislation including British Standards Code of Practice BS5973 and HSE recommendations. Working platforms and their safe working loads. Scaffold systems such as independent tied scaffolds, system scaffolds, and mobile aluminium towers. Safe use of ladders.

Scaffold erection, including the correct use and application of fall arrest equipment during scaffold erection. Statutory inspections, completion of reports, handover certificates, and method statements. The inspection of all types of scaffold, including independent, putlog, birdcage, mobile, and static.

Identifying and addressing common hazards and risks associated with scaffold safety. Proper use and maintenance of scaffold equipment, including fall protection systems. Emergency procedures and protocols. Practical exercises and demonstrations.

Case studies and real-life examples of scaffold accidents and their causes. Understanding the importance of communication and teamwork in ensuring scaffold safety. Best practices for conducting scaffold safety inspections. Course duration 1-2 days..

Welcome to the Bathgate Training Centre! Located in the beautiful town of Bathgate, our venue is easily accessible at Sibbald Park, Blackridge, West Lothian EH48 3BN. If you need further information on how to access the venue, feel free to contact us via email. During your training, we will provide you with refreshments including water, tea, coffee, and a light lunch. Our aim is to keep you hydrated and energized throughout the day. If youre travelling on the M8 from the East, simply exit at Junction 4 and take the 03rd exit on the roundabout towards A801 Bathgate Armadale M9. From the West, exit at J5 Shotts and follow the road over the motorway. Then, turn left at the T-Junction towards B7066 and continue for about a mile until you reach the A89. For those coming from the M9, exit at J4 and take the 02nd exit on the roundabout towards A801. Then, take the 01st exit on the next roundabout and the 03rd exit on the following one towards A89. If youre travelling on the A90 from the North, take the exit at A937 and turn right onto Business Park Road. Continue for a short distance and youll find the training centre on your right. From the South, take the left junction at Garvock Road/B9120 and turn right onto High St/A937. Then, take a left onto Business Park Road and youll find the training centre on your left.
