Course Information

It is essential for any wearer of tight fitting RPE Respiratory Protective Equipment to ensure that it is both adequate and suitable. RPE should be selected correctly for the task and all users must be tested in the correct use of the equipment. Reusable RPE should also be inspected and maintained at required intervals. In the case of tight-fitting respirators wearers should have a Face Fit Test carried out to ensure its safe use and operation and so that the fitted equipment does not allow for any foreign particles or droplets to enter the sterile environment.

Who Should Attend?

This test is aimed at anyone who, through the course of their employment, is required to wear face masks or respiratory protection either to protect themselves. Candidates must be clean shaven. PPE should be supplied in the style required for job role, this includes the face mask to be tested. Candidates should not eat, drink or smoke 30 mins prior to test, with the exception of water, and are required to have a sense of smell.

Joining Instructions

Face Mask (that you require to be tested on) Delegates must not eat, drink (other than water) or smoke up to 30 minutes prior to the test. Delegates must be clean shaven on the day, if the delegate is not clean shaven on the day, they will not be able to be tested and will be turned away.

Our venue is located in the industrial estate opposite the Car Star garage on Bradford Road. Youll find two buildings here one is right across from Toolstation, and the other is next door to Wolseley. While free parking is available on-site, it is limited, so plan accordingly. Accreditation

Successful candidates who attend and pass the Face Fit Testing training will receive a report to state the successful fitting of the mask they are using. This serves as proof that the candidate has completed the test and that their RPE is properly fitted.

For National Training Card members, all accreditations from the Face Fit Testing course will be automatically added to their account.
