Course Information

The door supervisor course is split into four sections. The first of these sections looks into the security industry as a whole which includes a wide variety of subjects but is not limited to; Introduction to SIA and security, Communication, Emergency Procedures, Fire Procedures, Health and Safety and the law. This section has a 25 question multiple choice exam at the start of the second day. Who Should Attend?

Any person who requires the need to be trained in Door Supervisor Level 2 through the course of their normal working duties. This course is suitable for anyone working in the arena or sector.

Joining Instructions

Delegate will need to provide: 2 forms of identification, 2 passport photos, completed registration forms.

Course Agenda

Unit 1 - This unit covers the basics of working within the private security industry. It includes the roles and responsibilities of a door supervisor, laws and regulations, and the importance of customer service. Students will also learn about the SIA Security Industry Authority and its role in regulating the industry.

Unit 2 - In this unit, students will delve deeper into the specific role of a door supervisor. They will learn about the different types of venues and events where door supervisors are needed, as well as the importance of effective communication and teamwork. Students will also be educated on the potential risks and threats they may encounter while on the job.

Unit 3 - Conflict management is a crucial skill for any door supervisor. This unit will cover techniques for de-escalating and resolving conflicts, as well as how to identify potential hazards and assess risks. Students will also learn about the legal implications of using force and how to handle difficult situations in a professional manner.

Unit 4 - The final unit focuses on physical intervention skills, which should only be used as a last resort. Students will learn about the laws and guidelines surrounding physical intervention, as well as the different techniques and methods for controlling and restraining individuals. This unit also covers first aid and emergency procedures.

At Littlemore Roundabout, take the first exit onto Oxford Rd/A4158. Then, turn right onto Church Cowley Rd/B4495 and continue onto Between Towns Rd. Youll find The Training Centre on your left. Accreditation

By completing the National Certificate for Door Supervisors, candidates become eligible for an SIA licence. This allows them to legally work as a door supervisor. Successful candidates receive temporary certificates of attendance from Xyz Training Group, serving as proof of completion and eligibility to work as an SIA Door Supervisor.

Accreditations earned through the course are automatically added to the National Training Card. This makes it easier for employers to verify qualifications and allows candidates to start working immediately, provided they have also applied for and received their SIA license.

Upon successful completion of the SIA Door Supervisor training course, candidates receive a National Certificate and temporary certificates of attendance from Xyz Training Group. These enable them to obtain an SIA license and start working as a door supervisor. The courses accreditations are also added to the National Training Card for easy verification by employers..
