Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher Course Joining Instructions – Monday 7th & Tuesday 8th April 2025 We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday 7th April 2025 for the first day of the CITB SMSTS Refresher Course. Please ensure delegates arrive at website for an website start. Course location: The Mill Building, Jackfield Tile Museum, Salthouse Road, Telford, TF8 7LJ – go through the main entrance gate and follow the path right the way through the grounds. We are the last building on your right. To help you find our office, our What3Words location is on this link what3words /// The simplest way to talk about location Parking: Please use the visitors car park for Jackfield Tile Museum, do not pay for the parking. Your vehicle registration will be taken once you’re inside our office and entered onto the system for free parking. Identification: Please ensure you bring photographic identification. Course Materials: Publications will be provided on the course. Please bring pens, paper and post-its. Disabilities: Please inform us should the delegates have any disability requirements. CITB Grant: If you are part of the CITB grant scheme please ensure you notify Wenlock Health & Safety Ltd of your employer’s CITB registration number. The following points apply to all courses until further notice. • Please bring your own food with you. A fridge is available, however please help us to limit use of shared facilities by bringing food in a cool bag. Once you arrive, youll find free parking in our on-site car park just remember to jot down your vehicle registration when you sign in. Accreditation

Successful candidates of the SMSTS Site Management 2 Day Refresher training course will receive a ConstructionSkills Site Safety Plus certificate. This certificate is highly recognized in the construction industry and is a requirement for many job positions.

The SMSTS certificate is valid for five years, after which it must be renewed by attending the SMSTS Refresher course. The course includes a compulsory examination paper consisting of 25 questions selected by the CITB. A pass is achieved by scoring over 80 on the exam.

Attending and passing the SMSTS Site Management 2 Day Refresher training course not only ensures that candidates are up to date with the latest safety regulations and practices, but also provides them with a valuable certificate that can advance their career in the construction industry. With the ConstructionSkills Site Safety Plus certificate, candidates can demonstrate their commitment to safety and their ability to manage construction sites effectively..

Delegates will also need to undertake some home study through the course with the use of the workbooks and course material. There is a multiple choice test at the end of the course which must be passed in order to obtain the certificate and qualification.. It is possible to fail the exam, however this is very unlikely.
