Who is the course for? This course is for those who have already completed the 2 day SSSTS course, and whose certificate is about to expire or has recently expired. The course is administered by Construction Skills, and is designed for first line managers or those about to acquire supervisory duties. It explains the individual's legal and moral responsibilities, and gives guidance in the monitoring of safety practices of groups of operatives. Who Should Attend?

Delegates who hold an existing SSSTS or subsequent Refresher course and provided evidence to the Training Provider before attending the course are eligible to attend the refresher course. Failure to attend the refresher course prior to the expiry of an existing certificate will require Delegates to re-enter the scheme by completing the full SSSTS course if they wish to remain in the scheme.

Joining Instructions

The candidate(s) should bring with them a note of their National Insurance number. If you are intending to claim the CSkills grant against this training, we also need the CSkills registration number.

Course Agenda

The CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher course commences with an introduction and registration process, followed by a review of the previous course's key aspects. Parking right outside is quite limited, and larger vehicles like vans or lorries wont find space nearby. However, you can park for free on Lyon Road, though it fills up quickly, so arriving early is a smart move! To reach us, head west on Rampart Way from the A5, take the 4th exit at the roundabout onto the M54 ramp, and merge onto the M6. Follow the signs to the M1, exit at junction 14 onto the A509, and continue until you reach us. We look forward to welcoming you! Refreshments, including hot and cold drinks, will be provided..
