Who Should Attend?

This course is for new entrant/operatives who are looking to start a career within the scaffolding industry. All existing CISRS Scaffolding Labourer cardholders also need to complete the course once their current card expires, before being issued a new card, as part of CISRS scheme requirements.

Joining Instructions

Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time before the course start time.PPE: Hard hats and safety boots should be brought for the practical part of the course Refreshments: Tea/coffee is available during the day. Lunch is available either by shops locally or by a caterer who visits the site.

Course Agenda

The CISRS Operatives Training Scheme COTS course covers important regulations and codes of practice, general responsibilities, and basic scaffold terminology. Accreditation

A CISRS Operatives Training Scheme COTS training course is accredited by the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme CISRS. Successful candidates will receive an attendance certificate upon completion of the course. This certificate is a necessary requirement for those seeking to obtain a CISRS Scaffold Labourer or trainee card.

To be eligible for a CISRS card, delegates must have a current Health & Safety Qualification within the last 2 years and must apply for their card within 2 years of completing the course. The multiple choice question paper included in the training course is designed to assess the candidates knowledge and understanding of working at heights.
