The CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 course aims to provide relevant and substantive training to anyone working in or coming in contact with during the normal course of their occupation

Who Should Attend?

Any person who requires the need to be trained in CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 through the course of their normal working duties. This course is suitable for anyone working in the arena or sector.

Joining Instructions

Please bring with you on the day. Proof of your current CISRS Trainee Scaffolder or Labourer Card Proof of in date H&S qualification. Card/cash for lunch. The food truck is available at 12noon on site. Free Teas and coffees are available at the academy all day

Course Agenda

The CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 course is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely erect and dismantle basic scaffolding structures. The course is suitable for those who are new to scaffolding or looking to refresh their skills.

During the course, participants will learn about the various types of scaffolding, including tube and fitting, and system scaffolds. They will also be taught how to identify and use different components, such as couplers and boards, and how to safely assemble and dismantle scaffolding structures.

The course will cover important health and safety regulations, such as the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and how they apply to scaffolding work. Participants will also be taught how to conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to ensure the safety of themselves and others. Practical exercises will be carried out to reinforce theoretical knowledge.

At the end of the course, participants will be assessed through a multiple-choice test and a practical assessment. Successful completion of the course will result in a CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 certificate, which is valid for five years. This course is a crucial step towards obtaining a CISRS card, which is required to work on scaffolding in the UK.

Welcome to the Swansea Training Centre! Our venue is located in the town of Swansea, with the postcode SA18QA. We pride ourselves on being fully accessible, ensuring that all delegates can attend our training sessions comfortably.We understand that training can be hungry work, which is why we have a food van on site at approximately 12 noon. They offer a variety of food and drinks for purchase, so you can refuel and recharge during your break. We also provide complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits on site. If you prefer to bring your own food, we have a kitchen equipped with a microwave and fridge for your convenience.Getting to our training centre is easy. Simply head north on the A483 from Swansea and take the exit towards the M4. Merge onto the M4 and take exit 43 towards A465. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A465 and then the 2nd exit again at the next roundabout onto A474. From there, turn left onto B4603 and continue onto Neath Rd/A4230. Follow the road and turn right onto A4230, then left onto Skewen Rd/A4230. Continue on A4230 and turn left onto High St/B4290, followed by a right onto Church Rd/B4290. Finally, turn left onto New Rd and then right onto Station Rd. Upon successful completion of the CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 course, candidates will receive a temporary certificate of attendance from Xyz Training Group.
