Course Agenda

The CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 course is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely erect and dismantle basic scaffolding structures. The course is suitable for those who are new to scaffolding or looking to refresh their skills.

During the course, participants will learn about the various types of scaffolding, including tube and fitting, and system scaffolds. They will also be taught how to identify and use different components, such as couplers and boards, and how to safely assemble and dismantle scaffolding structures.

The course will cover important health and safety regulations, such as the Work at Height Regulations 2005, and how they apply to scaffolding work. Participants will also be taught how to conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to ensure the safety of themselves and others. Practical exercises will be carried out to reinforce theoretical knowledge.

At the end of the course, participants will be assessed through a multiple-choice test and a practical assessment. Successful completion of the course will result in a CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 certificate, which is valid for five years. This course is a crucial step towards obtaining a CISRS card, which is required to work on scaffolding in the UK.

Successful candidates will achieve the CISRS Scaffold Training Part 1 award from the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme CISRS. This award is valid for 5 years and is recognized by major organizations in the UK.
