Asbestos hazards and risks are the main focus of this UKATA Asbestos Awareness training course. This includes understanding the health risks associated with asbestos exposure and how to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Participants will also learn about the different types of asbestos and their properties.

The course will cover where asbestos materials can be found, as this is crucial knowledge for anyone working in the construction or maintenance industries. This includes learning how to identify and safely handle asbestos-containing materials, as well as understanding the importance of proper disposal procedures. Participants will also learn about the risks associated with disturbing asbestos materials.

Legislation and guidance related to asbestos will be discussed in detail during the course. This includes the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant laws and regulations. Participants will learn about their legal responsibilities and the consequences of non-compliance. They will also be provided with guidance on how to effectively manage asbestos risks in the workplace.

Training Venue

Welcome to the Pudsey Training Centre! Our venue is located in the charming town of Pudsey, with a postcode of LS286PX. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your course starts to ensure a smooth check-in process. Please note that late arrivals may not be allowed in, but will still be charged. Our centre is situated in the industrial estate across from Car Star garage on Bradford Road. We have two buildings within the estate, one opposite Toolstation and the other next to Wolseley. Our site is on level 1 and we offer free parking, although it is limited. We are just a 5-minute drive from Pudsey train station. Dont worry about refreshments, as they will be provided.
