Course Information
This course consists of a Network Rail Pre-Employment Drugs and Alcohol and Medical. The first week of training will include your Manual Handling, Fire Awareness and Basic First Aid as well as the PTS Elements. Second week comprises of on-track work experience at a live practical rail facility. Your PPE Pack will be included....
Who Should Attend?
This course is suitable for persons working on the rail. Normally delegates come to us and join an open course when they already have in place a Sponsor, have passed a drug and alcohol test and completed a medical. These are the prerequisites in joining a course. We also have 6 centres across the UK able to provide a full training No Sponsor package which includes providing a sponsor, getting you through your medical and drugs alcohol test and in providing the training. If you are in the Midlands, South Wales, London or the North West then ask us about this package.
Joining Instructions
• Valid Medical/ D&A, • E-Learning passed prior to the course start Day (PTS. SWL 1. SWL 2) Certificate needs to be produced for all SWL, Courses, • Up to date log Book with at least 4 entries for Re-certification courses (if applicable) without this the candidate, will not be able to sit the course, • PPE (Minimum), Safety helmet (Blue for 1st PTS course) Safety Ankle Boots and High Vis Jacket & trousers. All, need to be to the current Rail Specification.
Course Agenda

Welcome to The Training Centre in Stratford! Getting here is a breeze. If youre coming from the A12 London, simply head west on Eastern Ave/A12. At the Redbridge Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Eastern Ave/A12. Continue on the A12 and take the A106 exit towards Dalston/Hackney/Stratford. Keep left at the fork, following signs for Westfield and the Olympic Park. As you continue onto Eastway/A106, keep left on Waterden Rd, which will curve into Westfield Ave. Turn left onto International Way, then left onto Celebration Ave. Finally, take a right onto Penny Brookes St, and youll find The Training Centre on your left.
