Course Agenda

During this one-day Ladder Association Safe Use Of Ladders training course, participants will learn how to select the appropriate work at height equipment for a task. They will also be taught how to assess and determine when it is appropriate to use ladders and stepladders. This includes understanding the different types of ladders and their specific uses.##$$##Participants will also be trained on how to correctly locate and safely use ladders and stepladders. This includes learning about the proper setup and positioning of ladders, as well as techniques for climbing and descending safely. They will also be taught how to use ladders on different types of surfaces and in various weather conditions.##$$##One crucial aspect of this course is inspecting ladders and stepladders for damage. Participants will be taught how to identify potential hazards and defects that could affect the safety of the equipment. They will also learn about maintenance and storage practices to ensure the longevity of ladders and stepladders.##$$##In addition to practical skills, this course will also cover the relevant legislation and regulations affecting work at height. Participants will gain an understanding of their legal responsibilities when working at height and how to comply with industry standards. They will also learn about the product standards and classifications for ladders and stepladders, helping them make informed decisions when selecting equipment for a task..
